    Arduino 1.0.5
    Processing IDE 2.1.1
    Control IPS v 2.0.4
    Windows XP 32 bit

I am a first time user and I’m having trouble setting up the osPID front end.

The “getting started” file tell me to download the controlp5 processing library and put it in the “[processing workspace]libraries” folder & then Use the processing IDE to open “osPID_FrontEnd.pde”

I’ve done that but the processing IDE tells me there is “no library found for control P5 & libraries must be installed inside the ‘sketchbook’ folder”. I have no such folder on my system.

My PID displays “Dashbrd Config” at this time.

I would be grateful for some help.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Move/copy the controlP5 folder to the path where your PERSONAL Processing folder resides i.e. not where you installed/unzipped Processing itself. When you launch Processing it creates a Processing user folder typically in ..MyDocumentsProcessing on Windows and homeuser on Linux. Inside this folder there is a Processinglibraries folder on Windoze and/or sketcheslibraries folder on Linux (or something like that). This is where the controlP5 folder needs to reside and not where the Processing bins/libs reside.

Also, you will probably encounter an error. Please read my most recent post because I am about to edit it with my findings.

    Cheers,

    ZG

Yes, the controlP5 folder is where you say it should be, but it only has html files in it.

Re your edit/update #2 I have no “Toggle t” line in the osPID_FrontEnd.pde

    NB: I am using Win32 not 64

    Thanks again

At the moment the osPID only functions as a door stop.

I have had some issues also. The osPID frontend comes with a precompiled application (one for each operating system) – I have had more luck with this.

    Good luck!
