Both of the above suggests that your output drive is configured to use the on-board relay. Please reconfigure it from the osPID frontend
I was going to send you screen garbs of my frontend config setup but realized that the forum only accepts URL images.
Anyhow, suffice to say, everything looks correct on the frontend configuration, yet no otput & no orange led coming on, on the output card.
I’ve configured for digital output & the output card is wired to CTRL & GND & the SSR jumper is set as per pic in my previous post.
The frontend is ‘waiting’ but does not progress
What is the likely problem?
Thanks
in reply to: New user-help please #4792My osPID 1.7 has no “Prof” on the opening menu
I do see “leaded” in the ATune sub menu, and that is what I selected in the frontend.
If I press OK on the the leaded profile I get “cancel” & I can hear a relay clicking. I thought OK was supposed to just save the mode selected..The leaded profile is successfully loading all steps but when I choose ‘send” I get waiting ‘non’. That didn’t happen until today, so I expect I have messed something up in the LED config 🙂
In the onboard UI you show the dashboard going directly to the osPID Mode, with an option for Auto or Manual. My dashboard takes me nowhere. I can only select the sub menu “dashboard/config”
To drive an external SSR on pin D6, the selection jumper need to be configured on the outer 2 pins, which mine is. So that’s OK . I did have the orange light coming on, on the output board, but not any more.
When do I need GPO power to the osPID, as well as a usb connection?

in reply to: New user-help please #4786changed to digital for my external SSR
still no output (blue flat line)
still overshooting max tempYou said;
“Through the menu on the LCD of the osPID unit?”Why the “?” Are you suggesting it can also be done thru’ the frontend?
(I’ve been thru’ the menu but can’t see anything that looks relevant)You said;
“Once selected,………….”
Select what,I don’t understand ( I don’t see anything in the LCD menu that refers to the profile).You said;
“………………. you need to select it once more and the profile will run.
Select it where?Thanks again

in reply to: New user-help please #4782Thanks for your reply.
In ‘status’ the frontend indicates that the profile is loaded successfully & that the set points are running, however in the front end UI the profile finishes but the oven temperature keeps rising past 260C.
I set to;
the available COMM port 5
use the thermocouple setting
set to ‘ONboard relay’ (my 25 amp relay)
use the available leaded profile
send the profile to the osPID unit
run profileMy thermometer doesn’t relate to the set point temps.
I don’t have any information on my K type thermocouple coefficients. Are there generic values I should be configuring?
I would appreciate further help, please.
in reply to: New user-help please #4778Hi,
I have got the hardware up and running but having trouble running the leaded profile. Was pretty excited and it worked once, except that when the front end graphic profile was showing a fall in temp the oven temp rose to 250C, and was still rising. Now I can’t get anything. I’m using my own SSR (25amps). Of concern also is that when the program is not running and I turn on the power to the SSR the oven heats?
I don’t appreciate the order of things for setting up the profile, particularly the tuning aspect. Could you please help me with the logical sequence for the profile.
setting up phase.Some specific questions;
what is ‘send dash’?
do I have to manually open & save the lead profile in notepad to run it?
On a couple of occasions ‘set to factory default’ appeared. Does this indicate a problem?is there online help an/or book you can recommend with an emphasis on reflow programming that would be of help to a complete novice.
Thanks for any help

in reply to: New user-help please #4775I’m somewhat confused about when to use the Arduino 1.06 IDE & the osPID front end for uploading a sketch to the osPID, and the place of the related Processing software. Was 1.06 only used for installing the firmware?
Could you comment please on when I use each of the above.
Is the Processing language compatible with the Arduino IDE?
Could you point me to a reflow oven sketch for the osPID to get me started?
Thank You.
in reply to: New user-help please #4773I ask, because this is a 1.3 version board not 1.2 as mentioned in your bug doc. Or has an smd, (not a discreet capacitor) been added, to this my 1.3 brd?
Thanks
in reply to: New user-help please #4772Hopefully a decent size this time

I understand this input board needs a capacitor across TC+ & TC-. Is that correct?

in reply to: New user-help please #4768Thanks for that.
Yes, I was forgetting to change from the Uno to the osPID in ‘Tools’
Sorry about the superfluous contacts. I was wondering about that. The reason I was doing so was that the forums hadn’t been used for at least 6 months and in most cases years. I thought it wasn’t being monitored! Thanks again for letting me know that.The osPID green light blinked furiously when I uploaded the firmware & the led screen on it now seems to have configurable information for my further attention.
Am I correct that the osPID, other than for downloading the firmware, is used in standalone mode from the power plug only?
What is your contact time zone there? I am +91/2 here.
in reply to: New user-help please #4766Please see my previous post with images of device manager, now containing Com5 as a result of installing CDM 20824.setup.exe for Win XP from FTD & error trying to upload osPID Firware.ino
in reply to: New user-help please #4760Image of device manager, as requested.
