    Just got my osPID today.

    1. Firmware v1.60 pre-loaded 🙂 ….. if I update the firmware will I get a later version?
    2. Front end software loaded for Win 7 PC (OSPID_FrontEnd.exe) …. file date is 06/01/2013. Hoped to get a newer version from github but can not see any pull requests newer that 3 years old so that doesn’t look promising.
    3. Controller seems to PID control OK but interface between osPID and PC is flakey. When I change a parameter eg setpoint on osPID , FrontEnd stops logging.
    4. I had hoped to use osPID to control a glass fusing kiln ie folowing a user programmed 5 stage setpoint / ramp / dwell profile. Can not seem to find out how to do this.
    5. Documentation is not available to me. I keep getting this banner Strict Standards: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system’s timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected ‘America/New_York’ for ‘EST/-5.0/no DST’ instead in /homepages/9/d283435342/htdocs/osPID/docs/includes/Setup.php on line 368

So rather disappointed at the moment, maybe upgrades to Firmware and FrontEnd will help …..
